Yoga is a gift of our Indian culture. The proposal made by the Hon'ble Prime Minister before the 69th General Assembly of the United Nations to celebrate 21st June as "International Yoga Day" with the noble intention of bringing "Yoga Vidya" which is a precious gift to mankind by the ancient Indian tradition to the world stage and leading mankind towards health, well-being and humanity. Approved by the United Nations. As a part of which, 21st June is celebrated as "International Yoga Day" all over the world.
As a part of which "Gujarat Rajya Yoga Board" has been formed by the Government of Gujarat with the resolution dated 21/06/2019 of the Department of Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities. The purpose of the Yoga Board is to increase the prevalence of Yoga in the whole of Gujarat, to make people practice Yoga and to create an atmosphere about Yoga in the whole of Gujarat and to keep people healthy and to encourage every citizen of the state to lead a healthy lifestyle and a healthy life.
District / District/
Yoga camps, Yoga dialogues, Yoga Jagran Rally, Yoga Pay discussion and different yoga programs are organized at the Municipal/Taluka level. Out of which, it is decided to organize Surya Namaskar competition for the first time this year to promote yoga and promote yoga. , the purpose, description and terms of which are detailed below. Objective of Surya Namaskar Competition:
Surya Namaskar is for worshiping the Sun which gives energy and power. Also, yoga is to reach maximum number of people and to create awareness about yoga among the people and spread the propaganda of yoga on a large scale and encourage the best performers in Surya Namaskar.
Selection Process:
(1) Total: 06 best contestants at village level in first phase in which one brother and one sister will be selected according to age group. And in the same way N.P. And at Manpa Ward level in which one brother and one sister will be selected according to age group.
(r) In the second phase, the winner of village level 06 contestants and N.P. 06 contestants who won the ward will be able to participate in the competition at the Taluka Head Curator level. And in the same way 06 contestants from Municipal ward level winners will be able to participate in the Municipal Zone level competition, in which also one brother and one sister will be selected according to age group.
(3) In the third stage 06 contestants from Taluka level and 06 contestants from Municipal Wards total: 12 contestants at district level and similarly 06 contestants from Metropolitan zone level winners can participate in the Municipal level competition. In which common rank will be done in which 03 brothers and 03 sisters will be selected as first, second and third,
(4) In the fourth stage, the district level winners 06 contestants at the state level and similarly the municipal level winners 06 contestants will also be able to participate in the state level competition.
Candidates selected as mentioned above will have to appear in the Suryanamaskar competition held at that level, in which the participants at Village / Ward / Taluka / Municipality / Zone level will have to come at their own expense. While the contestant coming for district/municipal and state level competition and one person accompanying him/her will be given TA. / D.A. will be given. No other facilities will be provided.
(1) At village level / N.P. And a team of 74 people will be formed for selection at Manpa Ward level. In which there will be a team of school gym teacher (other teacher in case of absence), yoga coach / yoga trainer of Gujarat State Yoga Board, any one member of NGOs or organizations associated with yoga and one technical expert, who will be at village level / N.P. And the Manpa will select the best performers in the ward level competition, and give their names to the Gujarat State Yoga Board.
(r) Total: 04 team will be formed for selection at taluka level / zone level. in which of the school
The team will consist of an exercise teacher (other teacher in case of absence), Yoga Co/Yoga Trainer from Gujarat State Yoga Board, any member of NGOs or organizations associated with Yoga and one technical expert. Which will select the best performer in the competition to be held at the district level/Municipality level. And will give their names to Gujarat State Yoga Board.
(3) A team of 04 people will be formed for selection at district level / municipality level. In which Zone Coordinator of Gujarat State Yoga Board, Yoga Coordinator of District / Municipal Corporation, associated with Yoga.
